Space for
culture and art

Space

NULA is a space for independent art and culture, created to be a temporary home for established and emerging artists and their artistic projects. It hosts unconventional exhibitions, concerts, screenings, installations and performances, with the idea of helping alternative culture and community grow in the city.

Mission

Developing the space is part of the work of NULA Foundation, a non-profit organisation registered for public benefit. NULA Foundation was founded on the idea that not everything that matters to us has to be commercial at its core. Personal, social, cultural and spiritual development, as well as the satisfaction of doing something for yourself, are fundamentally important to each and every one of us.

The foundation aims to promote these ideas through a range of activities: it supports different forms of art, takes part in international cultural exchange and art residencies, supports artistic talent in Bulgaria and abroad, provides access to culture for peripheral and vulnerable groups, preserves and promotes cultural heritage, supports education, develops the local cultural community and recognises volunteering as a way of life.
